First big milestone this week. I walked 29 miles this week (my best week to date). With 29 miles this week I have officially walked 100.39 miles. I am now in Sutter Creek CA a very small town with a population of about 2,000. Sutter Creek named after a John Sutter in 1848 after he had discovered Gold in Coloma CA which started the gold rush. Here is a nice image of this quaint small town.

I currently have 2,817 miles left of my journey.

Kind of a low walking week as I am still getting my body use to that. I went just over 22 miles for the week and there for am now 71.31 miles into my journey and now have 2845.69 left. Since I am still just in Stockton (1 mile from Lodi CA) I thought I would post a nice picture I was able to find.
Good weekend all.

12/6/15 Journey update

This week I went for fewer steps but harder ones in that I did a lot of hill climbing. In doing so I walked over all fewer miles and am now in Stockton CA.
Stockton is a interesting place in that it is where they filmed parts of two of the Indiana Jones movies there and where the show Big Valley was suppose to be set. In the year 2004 Stockton won the All American city award and filed for bankruptcy.
Stockton is well on it's way to making a comeback and so far seems to be a lovely place to walk through.
At this point I have walked 48.17 miles and have 2,868 miles to go.
Looking forward to seeing you on my journey.

I will be posting my journey progress on Sunday's as it is my day off to rest and charge my Fitbit. Week one did not get as much mileage as I was hoping for but with the holiday I'm not feeling too bad with the holiday and the extra day of taking care of things needed not usually gotten to on my days at work. So week one I walked 24.07 miles which got me to Livermore CA.

Livermore is one of the many suburban areas of San Francisco, has a large farming community and every June hosts the Livermore Rodeo called "World's Fattest Rodeo". There is also a large blue collar aspect of Livermore with the "Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory" and the "Livermore Municipal Airport".

While Livermore is nice I am looking forward to getting farther along in my journey. I currently have 2,892.93 miles left of my trip and look forward to keeping everyone up to date.

Hugs and Happiness to all
